The risk of data loss and data breaches is regularly identified as being one of the top 3 key risks to business and organisations. Loss of data - whether commercial, sensitive or personal data – can have a significant impact on the operations, and potentially the sustainability, of many organisations. The risks are not purely financial! Our panel of experts from industry, the regulator (in the form of the ICO) and legal will be on hand to provide you with their top tips on safeguarding your data and preventing data loss.

As well as hearing from our Partner and Head of Privacy David Goodbrand, we will be joined by three other data security experts each with their own experiences to share:

• Maureen Falconer, Regional Manager for the ICO's Scotland Office. The ICO is the UK’s independent regulatory body for data protection, and Maureen will guide us through best practice from the regulator’s perspective.

• Federico Charosky, MD of Quorum Cyber. Quorum are specialists in cyber security solutions and operations, and Federico will look at using big data to solve cyber security challenges

• Neeraj Thomas, Director at Burness Paull LLP. Neeraj will address the insider threat and how to avoid your valuable data walking out the door.

For any questions, please contact Jill Morrison at jill.morrison@burnesspaull.com

This seminar will be useful to anyone who is responsible for or involved in managing risk within their organisation. It is relevant to all sizes of business, across all sectors.
