Highlands and Islands DataFest19 Fringe takes place from March 11-15.

Highlands and Islands Enterprise is hosting a week of Fringe events for the region as part of Scotland-wide DataFest19.

With the support of partners from industry, academia and the public-sector there will be a week-long series of events to showcase the opportunities of data science and artificial intelligence. Events will be informative and provide a platform for networking and inspiration to embrace opportunity.

The Highlands and Islands Fringe for DataFest19 will include:

  • Executive launch – On Monday 11 March we will launch DataFest19 Fringe by exploring the global opportunity presented by Data Science and AI and how this is regional relevant.

  • IoT Scotland launch – On Monday 11 March, exploring opportunities for commercial use of the IoT Scotland network.

  • How Technology is changing the work of Lawyers - Tuesday 12th March - A round-table lunch event to discuss the impact specific technologies, including AI and machine-learning, are having on the legal profession and will continue to have on the legal landscape. Click here to register

  • Tune into Tourism - Wednesday 13th March – Online Webinar about Booking Trends - How You Can Boost Your Business Discover all the latest trends in how and why visitors are booking and how you can harness that information to grow your business. 

  • Data Talent Pipeline – On Thursday 14 March, find out about local programmes helping individuals to develop data analytical skills and how business can develop staff, recruit and get involved.
